FC Revival Parent FAQ
A practical guide for FC Revival families.
Updated on 6/8/2026
Our goal: We want families to understand how registration, training, fees, events, and communication work at FC Revival. If you do not see your question answered here, please reach out so we can help.
Quick Start For Families
- Registration is being managed in Byga. Families should download the BYGA app, review their community's summer training options, and send questions to the FC Revival staff.
- Club dues and team fees are separate. Club dues cover the year-round training and club operating items; team fees cover event-specific costs such as tournaments, referees, and coach travel.
- Training groups are built around player growth, not fixed labels. Players may move between training groups and event opportunities when staff believe it supports their development.
- Uniforms are a separate parent expense through Lloyd's Soccer Village once ordering links are sent.
- Scholarship support and multi-child discounts are available, with eligible adjustments applied manually after review.
- Event plans and team-fee budgets may be finalized after rosters are confirmed. Staff will communicate with families every step of the way. You can visualize proposed schedules currently on the website under respective program tabs.
Registration And Payment
How do we accept an offer and register?
After receiving an offer, families should reply to FC Revival confirming whether they are ready to register, have questions before committing, or need to decline. Once acceptances are collected, FC Revival will invite families to complete registration in Byga. As of 6/8 all players registered up into this point should’ve received feedback. We will evaluate players on a rolling basis throughout the summer.
What registration payment options are available?
Current registration options include full payment or a 6 installment plan. Families should review the payment schedule shown in Byga before submitting registration.
The club does offer financial aid & multi sibling discounts.
When are team fees collected?
Team fees are applied after tournament, event, travel, and roster details are finalized. FC Revival will communicate team-fee budgets and collection timing once the relevant costs and player numbers are clear.
- Team-fee budgets may vary by group because events, travel needs, referee costs, coach travel, roster size, and optional items can vary.
- The club will budget transparently and return unused team-fee funds to families when money collected is not needed.
Is financial aid available?
Yes. FC Revival wants every offered player to have the opportunity to play. Families who need financial support should complete the scholarship request form.
- Scholarship requests are collected through the form at https://fcrevival.byga.net/f/xipjfvpayw.
- Approved aid may be applied after requests are reviewed, including adjustments to later installment payments when applicable.
- You will receive a notification directly from the club
Are there sibling discounts?
Yes. FC Revival is planning to apply multi-child discounts manually for eligible families after registration details are reviewed.
Fees And What's Included
What do club dues cover?
Club dues cover the club-wide training and operating costs that support players across the year.
- Coaching during training and Saturday home matches.
- Field and gym rentals, including futsal options in some locations.
- Club insurance for fields and players.
- Byga registration/system costs.
- US Club Soccer club registration costs.
- Training sessions the club puts on across summer, fall, winter, and spring.
- Coaching equipment.
What do team fees cover?
Team fees cover event-specific costs. They can fluctuate based on roster size, event selection, and optional items such as video systems.
- Tournament entry fees.
- Referee fees for events and Saturday home matches.
- Coach travel mileage, hotel, and per diem for events.
- Potential optional technology such as Veo, Hudl, or Trace, if a team chooses to add it.
- Unused team fees collected during the year are returned to parents.
Are uniforms included in club dues?
No. Uniforms are a separate expense through Lloyd's Soccer Village after FC Revival sends ordering links. The required kit is expected to be $140 before optional extras such as backpacks, sweat tops, or pants.
You will receive a follow up email from the club communicating the ordering process shortly directly from the club.
Are players allowed to train at additional locations or sessions?
Yes. Players are welcome to join additional sessions at FC Revival locations when the schedule and group fit make sense. We want players on the pitch improving their game.
Training, Rosters, And Events
How are training groups built?
Training groups are built to help players grow. FC Revival may consider age, current level, confidence, physical readiness, training habits, position needs, and the best competitive environment for each player.
- The purpose is to place players where they can be challenged, supported, and developed.
- Groups may evolve during the year as players grow, rosters settle, and event opportunities become clearer.
- Growth mentality trumps all: the right group is the one that helps the player improve and love the game.
Why might a player move between groups or events?
Player movement is part of our development model. When appropriate, FC Revival may move players into different training environments or event teams to match their growth, confidence, readiness, or team needs.
- Movement is not only a promotion or demotion; it is a tool for development.
- Some players may need more challenge, while others may need more touches, confidence, or repetition.
- Staff will make these decisions with the player's long-term growth in mind.
Who works with each training group?
FC Revival's coaching model is collective. Players should expect multiple coaches to be involved across training groups, sessions, home Saturdays, and events rather than being tied only to one coach.
- Coaches are expected to get involved across the program, support one another, and help players across groups.
- This gives players more feedback, keeps the club's playing philosophy consistent, and helps staff make the best development decisions possible.
- Families will still receive clear communication about the primary contacts for their player's group for events.
What is FC Revival's development approach?
FC Revival emphasizes player development first: local training, ball mastery, small-sided competition, and progression into match and event opportunities where players are challenged.
- Training groups may be flexible when the development fit is appropriate.
- Players may be integrated into additional training sessions or match opportunities when staff believe it supports growth.
- The goal is to build skill, confidence, competition habits, and love of the game before rushing players into events that do not serve development.
- Growth mentality trumps all: staff decisions will prioritize what helps the player improve.
How important are Saturday home dates?
Saturday home dates are an important part of the FC Revival model. They create a training-match environment where players and coaches from multiple communities can build the club's philosophy of play together. We ask that players & families remain committed to attendance on these days.
Will every team follow the same competition model?
FC Revival will communicate each group's competition plan once rosters and schedules are finalized. Our model emphasizes selected events, home Saturdays, and flexible roster/event planning rather than treating every group as a one-size-fits-all schedule.
What does away event travel look like?
Away events may require family travel, overnight lodging, and weekend availability. Event formats vary, but most youth soccer tournaments include multiple games across a weekend Saturday/Sunday. FC Revival will share event-specific details as schedules are confirmed. You can review our proposed schedule on our website under the respective program tab.
Are event schedules final?
Not always. Initial event lists should be treated as planned schedules until FC Revival confirms rosters, tournament availability, travel costs, and player participation.
Does the annual price cover summer and winter training?
Club dues are designed to cover FC Revival training sessions across summer, fall, winter, and spring.
What is the summer training schedule?
Summer training options vary by community. Families should review the current summer training page at https://www.fcrevival.com/summertraining and watch for team or location-specific communication from FC Revival.
Can players attend summer training without joining a full-year roster?
Yes. Players outside FC Revival rosters may be able to attend summer training week by week for a cost.
Administrative Items
What information is coming after teams are confirmed?
Families should expect follow-up on administrative documents, scholarship information, US Club Soccer player registration, uniform ordering, fan gear, team fee budgets, ambassador volunteer information for eligible older players, and sponsorship opportunities.
Parent And Player Expectations
What is expected of players?
Players are expected to come prepared, train consistently, respect coaches and teammates, and approach sessions and games with effort, positivity, and a desire to improve.
What is expected of parents and guardians?
Parents and guardians should support players positively, communicate scheduling issues early, respect coaches and referees, and avoid sideline coaching. The goal is to let coaches coach, players play, and families support the environment FC Revival is trying to build.
What should families do if they have questions?
Communicate questions back to the club. Parent questions help FC Revival understand what families are thinking and improve future communication.
